Lightning

In September of 2025, our program director Miranda Puccino lost her soul cat Lightning. He gave her 17 years of true love and will be deeply missed. Miranda is a surgical scrub nurse, giving families more time with their pets on a daily basis. We honor them both with this memorial & will forever hold Lightning in our hearts. 

Ava Gardner 

Miss Ava Gardner was the sweetest pittie, greatly adored by her owner Marie, her canine brother Artie and her equine brother Quincy. She was best known for her theatric talent in drama and being the center of attention - rightfully so. She passed in 2022 but lived a wonderful 13 years & will be deeply missed. 

Crush

November 10, 2025 was an extremely sad night.

Crush was a 10 week old kitten - happy and playful just as a kitten should be, but had an underlying disease that struck suddenly. His family with 10Lives Rescue in New York did everything in their power to get him the care he needed but the unfortunate reality in emergency medicine is sometimes there is only so much you can do. This little guy deserved a much longer life but he was so lucky to be saved and loved so deeply in the time he was given by 10Lives.  

Margo

Margo was a shy, sweet girl born in 2016 and passed in July 2025. She was apart of a loving home with a total of seven animals. She is remembered by her sister Minnie - both named in relation to the M's on their adorable faces. Margo will be deeply missed but will always hold a special place in her family's hearts & by our foundation for the Steponkus' unwavering support. 

Skye

Skye joined Olivia and her family in May of 2014. Skye is just one of many pets who really chose her family. She broke out of her kennel at a local rescue adoption event and ran right to Olivia and her family. Since that day she lived a happy, long life full of love with her chosen people. She will be missed, but her family is honored to have spent 12 long years with her.
