All About the Animals was founded in 2025 with the purpose of stewardship for people who were going through hardship and had animals they were responsible for. Founder Maria Putnam, worked in the veterinary Intensive Care Unit for six years in California and Connecticut,  as well as time spent in Oncology. When working with owners already in crisis, the complexity and urgency of these cases placed both the owner and pet at risk.

Maria developed her own business in the finance sector, but more importantly learned the systems that shape access to the care that families need. Through these dual experiences,  our foundation is structured to succeed in supporting vulnerable families and keeping pets with those who love them.

 Our team specializes in emergency medicine, bringing extensive clinical experience and a deep understanding  of the critical importance of early intervention. Our strength is found in our adaptability in challenging circumstances. We aspire for a nation where every person can thrive through responsible ownership, economic mobility and long term stability,  supported by sustainable resources and collective action.

We take a deep dive into economic indicators and lived realities in order to shape our expansion – going where we make the greatest impact to serve those facing financial hardship, homelessness, disabilities and other barriers preventing stability.
